About Joy – Events Coordinator
by admin on Nov.05, 2009, under The Committee
Joy is my name and I am currently working part time, as a social
worker in the Department of Communities, Disability Services,
Qld. And as well, I am also working part time with Hope Church,
Brisbane, as Events Coordinator and Afternoon Service Pastoral
Staff.
In my free time, I love to watch good, and meaningful movies,
and read books. If time allows, I would love to be at the beach,
with my husband, to watch sunrises and sunsets.
This year, for the first time, I’m overseeing the organising of
the Oceania Convention. The goal of this organising team is to
ensure that everyone who attends this Convention, will have a
awesome experience, not just in fellowship with one another, but
in fellowship with God. We aim to bring the best to God and His
people, and all glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ.
I believe that the OC 2010 will be one where it is filled with
the Holy Spirit, and love of God. How can we do anything without
the beautiful presence of God, we would be nothing if God is not
with us. Pray together with us that in this upcoming OC2010, not
just would we sit under the Word of God and learn and rediscover
our core values and what it means to us personally, but as well,
we will all come to a personal breakthrough in our walk with God
(individually, and corporately as a movement).
God bless and see you in April 2010.
About Travon – Interstate and Pastoral Care Coordinator
by admin on Nov.05, 2009, under The Committee
Hi there! My name’s Travon. I’m currently working as an
Administration Officer at the Bremer Institute of TAFE in
Bundamba until mid-November. I look forward to spending quality
time with friends and finding that sweet presence of God.
OC2010 would be the second time that I am with the organising
committee of the Oceania Convention, with OC2008 being the
first. Previously in 2008, I had the privilege of serving as the
Interstate Liaison Coordinator – a role that I truly
enjoyed as I worked with the various Liaison Coordinators from
each church in bringing the convention to you – as well as
providing assistance in various aspects of the administrative
processes. In OC2010, I am delighted and equally excited to have
the same privilege in serving as the Interstate Liaison
Coordinator once again. In addition, I will also be serving as
the Pastoral Care Coordinator.
I believe OC2010 will be a truly extraordinary experience as we
come together under the Word of God to seek Him, hear from Him
and experience Him as lives are touched and transformed through
a time of defining and refining of the very core of values.
Come join us in a a time of celebration as we embark on a new
phase in the journey with our King!
